Since 1999, the South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA) has helped boost the economic life of this wonderful part of the UK, and that work continues to grow and develop.
Delivering the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for the South West of England provides the focus for all of the South West RDA's work. What they do, their activities, initiatives and projects - all contribute to and are shaped by the strategic drivers and objectives set out in the RES.
Their work is also guided by the cross-cutting principles of sustainable development and equal opportunities for all.
The South West RDA's work programme for 2005-8 is based on 10 themes: support business growth, skills and learning, sites and premises, innovation, participation, urban and rural regeneration, regional infrastructure, investment promotion, regional projects, and policy and partnership.
