How to Find Us

At South West Tourism we encourage our staff and visitors to walk, cycle and use public transport where possible, as part of a healthy active lifestyle and to reduce our environmental impact. Directions to SWT are given in order of least environmentally damaging first! 
 
On Foot 
South West Tourism is just over 3 miles from the centre of Exeter, Devon

By Bicycle 
Exeter is a demonstration city for cycling with a comprehensive network of safe cycle routes,
mainly off road see Exeter City Cycle Routes.
Once you arrive at South West Tourism offices there is a bike rack and shower facilities.

Getting to SWT by public transport couldn't be easier, with frequent connecting services from the city centre and mainline train stations.

By Rail 
The nearest station to South West Tourism is Digby & Sowton (on the Exeter to Exmouth line) followed by a 15 minute walk

South West Tourism can also arrange for a car to meet and collect you. 
Trains leave Exeter St Davids at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour.
Return trains leave Digby and Sowton at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour.
Journey time is approximately 10 minutes. 
 
By Bus - [H2 Service]
The closest bus stop to South West Tourism offices is Pynes Hill. 
H2 Buses leave Exeter St Davids station at 1 and 31 minutes past the hour,
Exeter City Centre - High Street at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour, and
Debenhams, Sidwell Street (near central bus station) at 13 and 43 minutes past the hour.  
From Pynes Hill Buses leave at 10 past and 50 minutes past the hour. 
Journey time from the station is 33minutes. 
At the Pynes Hill bus stop turn to face the NFU offices and turn left down the hill - a 3 minute walk. 

By Taxi

By Car 
Travelling North on the M5 from A30/A38 and west of the region

  1. Continue on the A30/A38, and join the M5 northbound
  2. Leave the motorway at Junction 30 (exit for Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth & Moto Services)
  3. Take left-hand lane of the sliproad and proceed to roundabout where there are traffic lights
  4. Take the first exit (A379, signposted to Exeter and Pinhoe). 
  5. Continue along the dual carriageway
  6. DO NOT TAKE ANY EXITS TO THE LEFT INCLUDING THE ONE SIGNPOSTED TO EXETER CITY CENTRE(follow signs to Pinhoe and Broadcylst).
  7. As the road bends to the left, move into the left-hand lane and continue cautiously; road merges into Rydon Lane which can be busy.
  8. Take the first exit left at the traffic lights signposted Pynes Hill.
  9. At the T-junction, opposite NFU building, turn left.
  10. After approx. 300 yards you will see two brick columns marked Woodwater Park.
  11. South West Tourism is based in the first building on the left.
  12. There is car parking in front of the building. If the car park is full please park on the road between our offices and the NFU building.

Travelling South on the M5 from Bristol and the centre/east of the region

  1. Leave the motorway at Junction 30 (exit for Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth & Moto Services).
  2. Take right-hand lane of the sliproad which leads into central lane, proceed to roundabout where there are traffic lights.
  3. Take the third exit (A379, signposted to Exeter and Pinhoe).

Directions from the centre of Exeter

  1. Follow Topsham Road out of the city to Countess Wear roundabout (Shell petrol station on your left).
  2. Turn left at the roundabout; follow Rydon Lane uphill and turn left at the traffic lights.
  3. At the T-junction, opposite NFU building, turn left.
  4. After approx. 300 yards you will see two brick columns marked Woodwater Park.
  5. South West Tourism is based in the first building on the left.
  6. There is car parking in front of the building. If the car park is full please park on the road between our offices and the NFU building.
